Various key members and ambassadors were interviewed, each explaining the concept and insight to both the Name Your Hood and Name Your Street campaigns. Present, was Dr Mzwandile Plaatjie, author of three books, and notably soon-to-be-published “Gugulethu – A Fregmented Unwritten History”, Shorty Nalintulo, local Dj and PRO of Gugulethu Local Football Association, who is also an influential person with the Gugulethu youth and dj Kaunda, a huge social media presence showing enormous success on both Twitter and Facebook. Bruce Good and Seth Rotherham, the hosts of this historical event, delved deep into the social impacts and community involvement and implications that having such a campaign would create.
